IR Media is a dynamic digital platform created to entertain, educate, and inspire. Built around movies, podcasts, documentaries, talk shows, and learning content, the platform aims to become a modern one-stop hub for African entertainment and global audiences.
The client wanted a full-feature subscription-based streaming website — a platform that feels premium, fast, and easy to use, while supporting multiple content formats.
My role was to design and develop the entire digital experience from the ground up:

Challenges
Every streaming experience must feel effortless — but behind the scenes, a lot can go wrong.
Here were the unique challenges IR Media faced:

The platform needed to support movies, podcasts, shows, and educational content all in one place — each requiring different streaming behaviors.

IR Media needed anti-piracy measures, screen recording prevention, and secure access control.

Most users abandon signup during payment. We needed a frictionless signup → subscribe → watch experience.

Streaming lag kills retention. Optimizing speed was a top priority.

The platform needed to express entertainment, creativity, and trust — without looking like a Netflix copy.
My Creative & Technical Approach
To solve these challenges, I blended strategy, design, and engineering:
1. Ideation & Wireframing
Mapped the full user journey from landing page → content browsing → watch experience → subscription.
2. UX/UI Design in Figma
Crafted a cinematic, dark-themed interface with vibrant accent colors to showcase media covers.
3. Streaming Infrastructure Setup
Integrated a high-performance video CDN with adaptive bitrate technology for smooth playback.
4. Custom Subscription System
Implemented monthly + yearly plans with automatic renewals and email notifications.
5. Content Protection
Token-based access
